The Delaware Valley Intelligence Center (DVIC) under the institutional umbrella of the Philadelphia Police Department serves as the regional fusion center and utilizes a collaborative and proactive approach to forecasting, preventing and/or responding to all-threats, all-hazards and major events. When an incident with criminal and terrorist implications occurs overseas or on U.S. soil, it is our utmost responsibility to insure that our public and private sector partners have accurate and timely information in an effort to protect our communities and critical infrastructure.

Private Sector Partnerships
The Delaware Valley Intelligence Center’s Homeland Security Programs and Strategic Partnership Program includes a wide range of key initiatives and critical partnerships that open up important lines of communication between the fusion center, law enforcement and the business community on matters of crime and terrorism. The DVIC’s community engagement strategies are designed to serve as a clearinghouse for information-sharing, situational awareness, critical infrastructure protection, topical briefings and sector specific support.
Training those who serve
The DVIC provides intensive multi-disciplinary training to private and public safety professionals, with exercises to strengthen counter-terrorism readiness.

DVIC's Area of Responsibility
The DVIC’S area of responsibility (AOR) consists of 12 counties across four states that border the Delaware River. The DVIC’s primary AOR is made up of five Pennsylvania counties –Bucks, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia. The DVIC also supports the following counties in collaboration with their state and or regional fusion centers – New Castle County, Delaware; Cecil County, Maryland; and Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties in New Jersey.
